Yorkshire Content Fund: Fuelling the Screen Industries Across Yorkshire

The Yorkshire Content Fund (YCF) has been a core part of Screen Yorkshire’s work since 2012. A vital resource for filmmakers, TV producers, and digital content creators, the content fund helps productions to base their projects in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

This fund provides co-investment opportunities for projects within the screen industries, offering financial support to help turn creative visions into reality.

One of the major advantages of accessing the YCF is the wealth of additional support offered by the organisation. Screen Yorkshire can assist with sourcing studios, locations, crew, facilities, and suppliers. This assistance ensures that production teams have access to all the resources they need to successfully complete their projects in the region.

Projects applying for YCF support are evaluated based on their commercial potential. Screen Yorkshire considers factors such as market value, distribution deals, and sales projections, alongside broader regional benefits like production spend and job creation. Projects that demonstrate both financial viability and a positive impact on Yorkshire’s creative industries are more likely to receive investment.

Overall Screen Yorkshire has invested over £22 million into production which has leveraged more than £234 of total production spend. The Yorkshire Content Fund ensures the screen industries continue to choose Yorkshire, resulting in continued growth and development into the region.
