Keighley & Worth Valley Railway

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway offers a 5-mile-long railway line that serves mills and villages in the Worth Valley and is now a heritage railway line in West Yorkshire, England. It runs from Keighley to Oxenhope and connects to the national rail network at Keighley railway station. The railway boasts a stunning range of well preserved locations, offering period scenes covering 100 years from 1860 – 1960.

The Railway has become synonymous with the 1970’s film The Railway Childrenand it also plays a central role in the 2022 sequel, The Railway Children Return, which filmed at stations along the line including Keighley, Oakworth, Damems and Oxenhope. It has also hosted productions including All Creatures Great and Small, Peaky Blinders, Testament of Youth, Brideshead Revisited, Swallows and Amazons and The Great Train Robbery as well as the BBC’s recent Agatha Christie adaptation The ABC Murders.
