Hybrid Fx School - Six Week Intensive Prosthetic Makeup Course
The course will take you through the many varied stages of Prosthetic Makeup Design that you would be required to know and practice in the Industry today. Covering the techniques from script breakdown, designing, sculpting, mould making, fabricating and finishing appliances to Prosthetic application skills. Each area will be taught by a mixture of demonstration, practical hands on and further assisted practical followed by open Q&A sessions at the end of each day.Where appropriate, we will arrange for related industry guest speakers to visit and give a small talk about what they do and their thoughts on the current industry.

Hybrid Fx School -Three Week Character and Creature Creation Course
The Course takes you through the process of designing and creating full head creature or character masks and static displays.Learning all the key skills from lifecasting, sculpture, mouldmaking in a range of specialist materials, duplication in various flexible and solid materials, colouring, finishing and hair punching / application. Your final work is yours to take home with you.It is great as a stand alone course or as an addition to our comprehensive Prosthetic Makeup Fx Course.

Skillset Multiplatform Bursaries
Skillset is investing £200,000 in multiplatform skills by offering bursaries worth up to £800. With 500 places available on 38 courses, Skillset can pay up to 80% of your multiplatform training costs. Multiplatform Bursaries are funded by the Skillset TV Freelance Fund. BBC Multiplatform Courses - 50% - 80% Funding available from Skillset
The Skillset TV Freelance Fund is offering Multiplatform Bursaries on a pre-selected range of courses covering key multiplatform skills in the industry. The BBC Academy courses listed below are included within this range and are available at a subsidised rate to successful applicants.
The amount of the subsidy varies, depending on whether you're employed or work as a freelancer. You'll get:
* 80% of the costs, up to a maximum of £800 if you are a freelancer; or
* 50% of the costs, up to a maximum of £500 if you are in permanent employment

SOS is searching Europe for the screenwriters and producers of tomorrow! Are you a producer looking for emerging writing talent? Are you a screenwriter looking to connect with producers and the film industry at large?
Writers will develop their selected one page idea to a full length script, which will then receive feedback from financiers and key industry figures. Alongside this the producers will build their development skills, and new relationships with the participating writers, producers, and industry contacts.
The training will run from May until December 2010 and is made up of 3 intensive workshops and a number of one to one virtual script meetings. The workshops will take place in the UK, France and Belgium, and will be composed of a range of writing exercises, master-classes, and peer to peer development.

The Benefits of Shooting RED
Screen Yorkshire, in partnership with The Creative Exchange Derby and ProVision will be running 2 x 3 hour seminars on the benefits of shooting on RED. These seminars will covers topics such as:

ENTERTAINMENT MASTER CLASS - The Executive Education Programme
The Entertainment Master Class is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to education for executives in the entertainment television industry. It offers a unique executive education programme created by the industry for the industry. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, seek advice and guidance, share ideas, and build rewarding networks and professional alliances in this vibrant global community.
This is a one-year programme with four modules: Games & Game Shows; Reality, Documentary and Fact Ent; Sitcom and Comedy; Entertainment Management. The first module takes place in Berlin, 07 - 13 May 2010.
Digital Imaging Technician Course
A RED Digital Imaging Technician is a new role and is an essential RED shoot crew member requiring expert knowledge of the system and the images it creates. A RED DIT on a digital shoot is responsible for the technical set up of the camera and also the safe keeping and processing of the digital data created. This course is designed primarily for camera crew and Directors of Photography but it will also be very useful for Directors, Producers and Editors who wish to expand their knowledge digital cinema production.

Gen Up North - In Search of Yorkshire's Digital Talent
The north of England's three Regional Screen Agencies have teamed up with TRC Media to bring you GEN UP NORTH - a unique training programme for emerging digital creatives in the North of England. Over five weeks, nine participants will learn from industry practitioners about the digital media landscape, taking part in creativity workshops and receiving coaching on professional development. The programme also includes placements at Channel 4, the BBC and local digital media companies.
Places will be highly competitive but if you are a recent graduate (or new to the industry) with real talent for creating digital content, we would like to hear from you.
The course runs from Monday 24 May - Thursday 24 June 2010.

SERIES PRODUCER PROGRAMME 2010
Applications are invited from experienced network television producers based in the Nations and Regions of the UK for the 2010 Series Producer Programme (SPP), a strategic partnership between TRC media and the BBC Academy.
The SPP is a blue chip training initiative designed to hone the skills of network produces to the level of series producer. Over the course of 12 months, the SPP will provide a range of top flight master classes and specialist training in series producer skills, and offer unprecedented access to commissioning editors and key decision makers within the BBC.
The programme begins in April 2010 and is open to freelance, independent and BBC staff producers with a strong track record in network television. It is aimed at indigenous talent in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the English Regions and those who wish to relocate to live and work in the Nations and Regions.
The SPP is fully funded by the BBC. The deadline for applications is 02 March 2010.
