Chapel Allerton film festival opens to entries (14/06/2012)
This year's Chapel Allerton Short Film Festival is now open for entries. The festival is looking for films of all genres to include in our programme and wants to encourage local filmmakers of all backgrounds and disciplines to apply. The variety of the material is what makes the festival a success – everything from professional drama productions to primary school projects. And all are in with a chance of winning our audience award. Last year’s audience favourite, Imagine, was a solo project by local teenager Alfie Barker.
Films can be any genre – drama, documentary, music video, art films... They should be less than 30 minutes’ duration and made within the last two years. Precedence will be given to films with links to Chapel Allerton, Leeds and West Yorkshire.
To enter, complete the entry form which you can download this PDF form and send it to us, with either a DVD copy of your film or a link to wherever your film is available to view online. If the film has been made by someone under 18, please state this on the entry form so they’re eligible for the young film-maker prize. All entries must arrive by 31 July 2012.
The date for this year’s festival is Bank Holiday Monday August 27th, 7.00pm at Seven Arts Centre, Harrogate Road, LS7 3PD.
Please send your DVD or a link to your film and a completed submission form to: Chapel Allerton Short Film Festival, 21 Norfolk Gardens, Leeds, LS7 4PP.
