Welcome to Game Republic
Game Republic is an industry-led games network for the Yorkshire and Humber region. As well as being a great place to live and work, this north of England county boasts one of the world's top-performing regions for games development, with such talented companies as Rockstar Leeds, Sumo Digital, Team17, Tuna and Revolution Software within our borders.
At Game Republic our sole aim is to create more games business for Yorkshire, hosting regular networking events, supporting companies with PR and marketing, assisting companies travelling to international events and more.
We're also passionate about creating better links between academia and the industry, with past events including "AI & Avatars" in association with the University of Bradford and the hugely successful Student Showcase, which this year took place at the University of Huddersfield on Tuesday 25th May.
In 2007, Game Republic was fully integrated into Screen Yorkshire, allowing the games sector in the region access to Screen Yorkshire's strategic investment funds. If you want to know more about the games industry in Yorkshire and the UK, or to find out about the support available, contact jamie@screenyorkshire.co.uk or you can also follow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/gamerepublic
