Free Intellectual Property Seminars For Creatives

Own-It North, have been working with leading law firm Pannone LLP to devise two free seminars that will de-mystify intellectual property for creatives. One seminar is entitled, "Creativity and the law: Understanding Intellectual Property" with the other entitled, "How not to get ripped off: Enforcing & protecting your Intellectual Property rights". Both events are free but places are limited.

France recently announced proposals to remove internet connections of individuals who share copyrighted material online, while Canada's attempts to update its copyright legislation were eventually abandoned due to widespread opposition. So, as the Intellectual Property Office's Taking Forward the Gowers Review of Intellectual Property report consults on allowing exceptions to current legislation that could see ‘format shifting' made legal, and exceptions for research, schools and parody, does UK policy need wider review?
